Pineapple Baby Shower and Fun Game Ideas

Nothing makes me happier than celebrating a Mom to Be at her baby shower. This past weekend I had the pleasure of hosting a Pineapple Baby Shower for my sister; who is expecting her first girl in March. We went with a classic black and white color pallet, with touches of gold.

My sister requested that there be NO PINK at the baby shower, as it’s not her style. I knew I still wanted to make the party festive and feminine, without over doing it. Since I am not crafty at all, I relied on Angela, of LaDaDa Designs, to create really fun and unique Pineapple Baby Shower decor. The best part of working with Angela, was sending her images I had loved from Pinterest and having her recreate them for me. I was also able to send her pictures of my rooms so she could get a feel of where the decor would be placed. To have someone work alongside you solely through email and nail it on your vision, is AMAZING!!!

The two main events at any baby shower, are the food and the games. Gone are the days of candy bar stained diapers and guessing Mom’s waist size. Party goers are looking for upbeat and interactive entertainment. Throw in the use of their cellphone and a gift basket or two of goodies to be won and you are the “hostess with the mostess”. Here are the 3 games I chose for the baby shower;

Pass the Prize Rhyme

Pass the Pacifier

Everyone had a great time, got a little competitive and enjoyed the games we played. What I also noticed,was that everyone loved the FOOD! We had a few gals bring some easy to make apps (which ran out quickly, so make sure to over prep on food). Since the baby shower was mid day we chose light appetizers and sodas like; lumpia,chicken salad croissants,fruit & veggie trays and desserts. I would also like to point out that Buffalo Chicken Dip is always a good idea!!

At the end of the day, we laughed, we “oooohhh and ahhhh-ed” and we showered my sister with as much love as she could get. We ended the party with gifts and the cutest Thank You cards from SW Cards.
