DockATot Review : A Must have for Moms

This post was sponsored by DockATot all opinions are 100% my own.

The arrival of my fourth child not only brought about joy and happiness, but also the ability to use amazing new baby products like DockATot. As you know by now, I love finding new and innovative products that simplify and make life for parents easier.

When I first came across the DockATot, it was while I was scrolling through their Instagram page. I kept thinking to myself “now there is a product Mom’s would love to have!” Like most of you, I instantly thought it was too expensive. Most new parents are willing to spend a little more on their first born; but once you hit four kids, you question if everything you buy is ACTUALLY WORTH IT! (or at least I do). I will be the first to admit, I am super uneasy about buying things I deem expensive, so I completely understand why so many Mom’s are hesitant about the cost; but by the end of this I hope to show why this product is worth it!!!!

I browsed their website and loved all their modern patterns and colors. One option DockATot has that I really like is the ability to choose from two sizes. The DockATot Deluxe takes your baby from birth to 8 months and The DockATot Grand  carries your baby from 9 months to 3 years. Prices vary depending on size.

The DockATot comes with; child safe zippers, a handle for easy transport, breathable lightweight mattress pad with airflow and a removable cover that can be washed. These Swedish designed cots are made in Europe and ship all over the world.

When my gals over at asked me if I would be up for doing a review on a DockATot, you better believe it took me 2.5 seconds to respond YES!!!! The good thing about is they are constantly connecting other moms with products they need to know about, and this was definitely one of them.

A few things I must rave about, before telling you my thoughts on the use of my DockATot. First, delivery was fast and packaging was amazing. I am huge on the packaging of products (don’t ask me why. I know it’s weird!) The package was light and easy to carry and everything was neatly organized and packaged with care.

Okay, so time for the good stuff…the question every Mom has been asking me,

“Is it worth the price tag?”

My answer is simple..ABSOLUTELY!

My son is a fidgety sleeper, which causes him to wake himself up often. Obviously we all know “back is best” when it comes to babies and sleep, however this can be difficult with a baby who tosses and turns. I found that he would sleep best when laying on my chest or on his belly in his bassinet. The problem was, even though he slept best this way, I refused to let him sleep through the night on his stomach.

I remember telling my husband that I truly believed that if I could get my hands on a DockATot, it would be the answer to our problems. He knew I was waking up three to four times a night (because we all know men could sleep through a bomb going off) to take care of the baby. No joke, the first night we put little man in his DockATot, I only woke up twice! The second night he slept from 9p to 4:30a . As parents you know that TIME IS MONEY….and that time is worth a $185.00 price tag!!!

My husband looked at me, after a few nights of restful sleep and said “I can’t joke you anymore, finally a product you wanted that makes sense for our family.” If you know my husband, that is HUGE!!!!

My son now takes his naps all around the house because I can conveniently lay him in his DockATot while; making lunches, taking a shower, reading to the older kids, watching a show, etc. I no longer have to worry if he will roll off a mat on the floor; or carry him because I can’t leave him sleeping on the couch. I almost feel a sense of freedom now that I have a safe place for him to rest and lounge.

The best part is, I now have a peace of mind when it comes time to transfer him from his bassinet in our room, to his crib in his own room. The DockATot will just move with him when we transition over. Having this sleeper makes it easy to take him out, no matter the time or length of stay, because I can always have a comfy place for him to rest no matter whose house I am at. Heck, I can even take this to the beach and set up a relaxing rest area under the umbrella!!! The breathable material allows the sleeper to maintain a comfortable environment for baby to rest.

To sum it up, YES YOU SHOULD BUY ONE!!!!

It is well worth the investment to gain; peace of mind while they sleep, restful nights for yourself, easy travel sleeping arrangements and a portable tummy time/nap station. If you want a better way to think about it (because this is what I do) For the first 8 months your baby uses their DockATot it comes out to $23.00 a month. I spend that much at fast food on a Friday night for my family! I bet now it doesn’t seem to costly does it.

**Update 7/28/2016**

We loved our DockATot so much, that we snagged the next size up called the Grand as well. Our youngest is slated to be our biggest child, which says a lot, since ALL our kids are huge, but the Doc gave us fair warning he may be a giant. With this said, at four months old he is growing at a rapid speed. While we still use our Deluxe DockATot every night, we knew that soon enough he will be outgrowing it and couldn’t risk being without one. So a few weeks ago we welcomed our beloved black and white Grand DockATot into the family. All our kids use it as a place to relax. Our daughter took no time at all to claim it as her own. Now we must wait until she no longer can use it in order to pass it back down to our son.

Do you own a DockATot in your home? If so I would love to hear your thoughts on it too.

My youngest baby is 10 months old! Man I wish I would of had this when he was a newborn, he was a finicky sleeper him self!
I will for sure keep this in mind for my next baby! I love how if you go out of town you can bring this with for your a baby to sleep in at a hotel and it won’t Disturb their sleep!! which we all know is a pretty easy thing to happen with a baby in a new place! Plus you don’t have to lug around a big bulky pack and play and baby can sleep right in bed with you or right beside you! I will be telling all my prego mamas about this product!
